RACE KIT PICKUP TIMES
6:00 – 8:00am Race day at Pine Ridge High school
This year Seaton Soaker welcomes Salomon as one of our primary race sponsors. This year we have also introduced a two person 12k relay, each runner will run 6k and both with do a water crossing. Due to the growth of our event we have been forced to place a cap of 500 entrants, so please register early. In addition this year all finishers will receive a cool Seaton Soaker Buff instead of a medal.
Check out previous years reviews, we are only 1 of 2 races that are at 100% positive satisfaction
Race Start – 25/50K starts at 8:00. There is an 8 hour time limit for
these 2 races.
First Aid- There are trained emergency medical responders on course, and
at start/finish line.
Course Restrictions- Only registered runners and volunteers are permitted
on the course. No animals. This is for safety and insurance purposes.
Race Etiquette – Most of the race is on single track. If passing someone,
please let them know by shouting out ‘on your left’. Also, headphones are
discouraged because of this. Enjoy the scenery, and the camaraderie of your
fellow trail runners.
Aid Stations - There are 4 Aid Stations. Start/Finish line. Dog Park at
3K. Forestream at 7.5K. Whitevale at 12.5K. Seaton Soaker is an ‘out and back’
course, so runners also hit these Aid Stations on their way back. All Aid
Stations are well stocked with Electrolyte Hydration, gels, sandwiches, pretzels,
gummies, chips etc. Lots of opportunity to graze at the stations......
Awards – Seaton Soaker is part of the OUTRACE series. We therefore use
the age groups from the series. Under 40, 40-49, Over 50. Overall winners, and
Age Group winners will receive a prize.
Post race food – Lots of food for all runners at the end of the race.
There will be pizza, bagels, bananas, samosas, sandwiches and chocolate milk.
Lots of veggy options.
